What to expect on your first visit

For Pilates & Dance Coaching

Directions and Parking

Address: 6631 Ellis Ave S, Seattle, WA 98108

The Shed is located behind the residence on Ellis, where there is free street parking available.  Come in under the trellis and follow the path to the left side of the house, then through the iron gate.  Feel free to enter when you arrive, even if we are wrapping up a previous session or I've stepped out of the space briefly.  There is a blue couch sitting area for waiting.

What do I need to bring?

Arrive in clothes you feel comfortable moving in. Make sure to wear layers during colder seasons and light clothing in the warmer months due to the uninsulated space.

No shoes are needed for Pilates, but please wear clean socks for the best hygiene. For dance sessions you may wear socks or ballet slippers.

Any other preparation I need to do?

For the best experience, do not eat heavily within 2 hours of your session.

What will we do in the first session?

The first session is our introduction to each other! I’ll ask you questions about your health past and present, your activity levels, and your goals and needs for what you want from me. We’ll work slowly with lots of talking and feedback as I gather information about how your body moves and responds, as well as how you learn and communicate. I generally utilize the first two sessions as this kind of information gathering in order to design a session that best suits you.
